Hello everyone. I plan to go to trucking school in January, however I'm a little worried about whether or not my driving record may cause me some problems. In the last 3 years, I've had 2 moving violations in New York. In 2014 I got a VTL 1144-a Failure to Move Over for an Emergency vehicle, and just recently last week I got a VTL 1213a Driver's View obstructed, both of which are considered moving violations in NY. Other than that, I haven't had any tickets in 5+ years and have never been in an accident. Any knowledgeable drivers out there know if these violations are going to hinder my ability to find a job after school?

that failure to move over is a big deal these days, due to the injuries or deaths of emergency workers. get one like that as a CDL driver, you'll be toast.Bread Thanks this. -
Go to cdl school, you're hirable. Submit applications during the first week of cdl school.
TransAm usually cuts some slack on some tickets. Which city are you near in NY?Bread Thanks this. -
I appreciate your response, I'm going to look into TransAm. I'm in the Watertown area and am applying to the Sage school in Rome.
