Yes Sir, dead serious. I liked the ABS because it was lighter, easier to open.

......and I just got the bill from my KW dealer in the mail from when I had my 1998 T800 in there last week. $500 in labor to find and repair a broken wire going from the Wabco ABS controller to the brake retarder relays. If it was a 1997 the FMCSA says I don’t need ABS.

    More money for nothing

I was just giving you “HOOD” guys a hard time. That plastic hood is the Bain of anyone that has one on a Kenworth. Doesn’t sound like there is a good way to repair them?

I don't know I'm guessing not, I know a fiberglass one can be patched back together as long as it's not too horribly destroyed.

Yes you are right, no fixing it from what I was always told.

You're right, dropping the the warranties would have reduced the amount financed and thereby the payment. Which is what I tried to say.

I bought a KW because of the local dealer. If the best dealer would have been a Volvo, I'd have bought a Volvo.

Yes, EVERYTHING is negotiable with a full service lease. We decided to buy, but the end bid included a 12 hr replacement guarantee in case of breakdown (break down, bring replacement truck in 12 hrs). That guarantee was valid in certain lanes only. Lease terms included mileage, standard of maintenance, replacement tires, etc.

    Midnight_tim and Northeasterner Thank this.
