I believe what you guys are saying, but those roads were worse yesterday evening.

I had no issues at all, but twice i came ip on cars and pickups struggling to get up small inclines. One spot on a bridgr had 10 or so bunched up, and 2 had already hit each other.

My post wasn't meant to say the roads were bad because of weather, but more because it appeared they lacked the desire to send plows out to get em in better shape.

Puts car and truck drivers in a bad situation..

Again, pretty much everyone here as 10x the experience I do. I don't question what y'all are saying.

BTW, In Oklahoma now. Hammered by ice, and besides a spot at the 273mm, 40 is clear. I've seen probably 15 plows from about the 200 on east.

Saw three plows in MT in 2 days

Rather run on good snow pack at -10 then run in slush at 35 degrees.

90 is shut down now between Livingston and Big Timber, which is where they slopped on a bunch of chemical. Then it got into the upper 20’s yesterday and got wet and last night when it refroze they closed it down because of wrecks and “extreme” driving conditions. Every place else that was just snow pack on my way out west was melted off yesterday for the most part.

    D.Tibbitt and LameMule Thank this.

…..and what, exactly, do you propose they do to improve on hardpacked roads at zero or below? Plows can’t touch it, salt won’t help, and sand or gravel doesn’t really make a difference.

send guys out with a chisel and chip away at it?

DFW is slick as duck butter right now, best way to get around town is to lay on your belly and use two sturdy forks to pull yourself around

First time in a while running 12 east out of Townsend. The hill was in perfect condition this morning, never slipped a wheel.
