One would think, MTI had enough resources to redo their freight focus, instead of just closing down. They must have seen declining trends. Maybe a few in charge there decided they would be better off this way - never mind over 600 people losing their jobs.
MTI - mail contractor goes out of business.

I got a bill from my insurance company with a preaddressed return envelope. Put the check in the mail and off we go.
About a week or so later, my neighbor brings over my check and the envelope.
Stamped on it was "bad address" or some such and was returned.
Apparently Auto Owners Insurance don't know where they are.
And, apparently, the post office doesn't know my address from the lady next door.
Thankfully, I have an honest neighbor.......the check was for $1300.
My grandfather was a post master and 2 of my aunts and a cousin worked for the post office, so my loyalties are there. But somethings gotta give. I'm almost done with them entirely. Not to mention the cost of a stamp. Anyone remember the 5 cent stamp? -
