I just about made the worst driving decision of my million mile career. Wanted an easy driving job to ease into full retirement. Those recruiters at MTS kept sending me messages with open ended offers. Last one was $400 daily and $1,500 sign on bonus for dedicated home daily route. Well of course it was a lie. They are so anti-driver isn't funny. You can read all about them all over the internet. The terminal manager where I live has zero tractor-trailer driving experience. She did a gig as a school bus driver. I went in to their orientation. Susan, the trainer wanted nothing more than to get signature on company paper. Anything important was passed over. The videos they have you watch are a joke. Mine kept freezing up and what I could watch was so far from accurate it was laughable. At the end of the "cartoons" I asked the terminal manager a simple question about the company. Answer back was " I don't know I'm not a truck driver".
I did get a free lunch from the golden arches. BTW, if you get a recruiter call from Laura B, just know that she will tell you anything to get you into their slip seat trucking fiasco.
