Sorta agree, but it ain't just farmers...

Friend here had a machine shop and in comes a job, needs an hour ago. Jimmy says 10 in the morning. Man grumbled about the wait.
Man come in at 9 and drinks on the shops coffee and grumbles about coffee and waiting...
Job is off the lathe and set out and billed. Man grumbles about the charge...
Man grumbles.."If I'd had them machine's, I could have done that myself, quicker and cheaper.
Jimmy said : "I can sell you them machines, too...."

(Hand them a copy of a truck paper with 7 axle rig circled in red- Print "Chains extra.."

Depends on what kind of cattle you are hauling. If you're hauling yearlings off wheat pasture, every third load. Weaned calves or cull cows off ranches you can usually make 5-7 loads before needing to washout. New Mexico EPA shut down all the trailer washouts because they said they were polluting the ground water!

He has had his own trucks hauling his own hogs for many years. They just recently started hauling for hire, for the outfit that has some of their hogs contracted, and I was the first fellow they asked to help, and since I can fit it easily between milking, I thought we’d give it a whirl… however, I can make double pulling my dump trailer what he wants to pay for hogs, and it’s much more flexible, no dock times at plants etc. I figure my truck can sit in the driveway for free, it doesn’t have to run for free. I’ve done tanker work for this farm before, rate was excellent, and they never batted an eye about payment, thought maybe hogs would be the same. Trying to decide if I should stop while we are still friends, or try to get him up where it’s worth my time. And right now, I quite frankly don’t see it being worth it.
