Mud flap question...is legal?

    It was dropped loaded..company wouldn't let shop touch it....regardless of charge or not. Its very admirable of you t st around and wait for the receiver to get to that trailer so you can go back in a day or 2 pick it up empty and get it fixed instead of making some money. I am trying to figure out what is so difficult to understand about this

    ...or the cop ran his plate, and it came back expired, or he saw some other issues....

    Let me correct myself.. Theya ren't mandatory on a truck.. Trailers must have a mudflap.

    Trucks must have flaps when bobtailing but not required when hooked to a trailer.

    Tractor's mud flaps are not manditory on, Trucks they are manditory. However if you have them they must be legal in regard to not needing repair, and proper coverage as well as distance from the ground and from the tires. Arizona is the only state I know of that will pull you over because while moving your flaps are more than 6" from the ground.
