Your only options are US74 east to I40 or US64 west to US411 or I75. DO NOT try to take any shortcuts thru this area with a 53' trailer. You will regret it if you do.

I checked and checked the VA DOT site's chart of restrictions, 441 thru the park is not listed. So I called them, and got a return call (much too late to help, but I asked after they closed) and the nice lady said that it is a federal road so it's not on the chart. I suggested they add it. -

I'm from the west and until now, had driven quite a bit of NC and VA, but NOTHING like what I just did. I used to snicker at folks who talked about the difficulties here, but no more. These roads take the cake!Wild Murphy Thanks this. -
