I play around in Chicagoland enough to find about any place, but occasionally it makes a difference if there is N/S or E/W in front of the Street/Avenue/Road/etc. Like 17 miles through the city on the so called expressways. That really bites during the high travel times.
I see enough of Detroit, too.

The accuracy of your directions are inversely proportional to how close your appointment time is.

When the dispatcher rushes you on a "hot load," you will get to the receiver and they won't want the stuff or know what to do with it.
Toomanybikes, Lepton1, bottomdumpin and 6 others Thank this. -
If you've run out of Comcheks, the next place you deliver to will only have lumpers for hire.... and not let you on the dock to do it yourself.

If you are already tight on time, everybody in town will get into their cars, get on the freeway, and proceed to get into multiple wrecks to assure you are as late as possible.scottlav46 and Canned Spam Thank this. -
That bottomfeeder truck that raced to get in front of you to go either into the parkinglot or back to the highway will do something stupid.
That ugly woman driver that looks like Charles Bronson in drag believes that everyone wants in her pants.
Road Construction Right Lane Closed 1 mile. Translated, race to the barrels and slam on the brakes.

The more out of aim the driving lights, the longer it takes to pass you.
The driver in front of you in line at the shower kiosk takes the last shower.
And along the same lines as canned spam's post, you can be traveling along a dark desolate stretch of road with no one in sight, until you hit your high beams, and 'poof' oncoming traffic appears.
Lepton1, Blackshack46 and Bean Jr. Thank this. -
When you notice the one empty parking spot at the end of your 11 and you hump it to get there, you'll get caught by the light that lets the truck that takes it through first.
walstib Thanks this.
