I think it stays on youre record for 3 years. At least thats how it is in ID.

When applying for a trucking job you will have to tell them every state you have held your license in. Lucky for me I have not had any tickets since 1992. And I held my CDL in 4 states in that time lol. So I have to list them all every time.
Some states are quick to remove tickets. Some are slow. I have seen people on here having tickets show up that were 5+ years old. -
Come to think about it 09 - 11 is only 2 years.Had brain fart.
Well I guest I just have wait to see how long it will take to be remove.
-
you need to check, some states it will stay on as long as you hold a CDL. it's just like some states will not let you go to drivers school to get it off if you have a cdl even if the ticket was in a pov

you can get a free copy of your DAC report once per year. when you fill out the form (this can be done online now) you can check off the box requesting your DMV record...but it is the same record you can get from your state, no difference....the DAC DMV record may have a fee attached to that, this you will find out when you go to their website.
some states go back 3 years, some go back 5 years, then those tickets "fall back" out of sight, but nothing gets off your entire DMV record, so a company, when they order a DMV check on you, usually only gets what the state has immediately, but any company can order up your entire record, for an additional fee.
i should point out that this can be important when one gets involved in a traffic accident, fatal or not, and the lawyers get involved, as they will see a "pattern" of driving infractions one has committed over the years. -
That will stay on your florida record permantly.
However, after 3 years, if the company only orders a 3 year report, your golden.
If the company orders a 7 year report, you're screwed. -
As far I know most companies I talk to only look back 3 years.I haven't seen any company that said 5 or more.
-
oh there ARE companies that want a 5 year......you just ain't "talked" to those yet.....but they ARE out there.....
-
Heck there are companies that ask for lifetime which will include every infraction ever received. Even across state borders. My insurance agent pulled my lifetime in Florida and they had a ticket I got on a dirt bike in Co when I was 15 for improper lighting and registration.
I didn't even remember the tickets until then
