I did try but because of my age and the speed the judge wouldn’t do anything. I even had a lawyer with me. All he would do is let me keep my license because apparently in NC my license should’ve been revoked. But it is approaching 4 years old now and I think I might have a gig lined up at Fastenal by working through their dock. Thanks for the info!

Wow, I’m really surprised a lawyer couldn’t get it reduced. I’m thinking maybe it was in a rural court without an overly burdened docket. I was a cop in Detroit before trucking. A 14 yr. old kid shot me with a 12 ga. And the prosecutor dealt down from attempted murder to felony assault just to get a guilty plea, and move on to the next case. Well good luck to you. Hang on a minute, there use to be a company called M.C. Carrier. Haven’t seen their trucks lately, don’t even know if their still around, but I knew a guy that hired in there fresh outta rehab for failing a random drug test. Might be worth looking them up.

I was surprised also, and wow that is ridiculous right there! I will definitely check into them. Just trying to find someone who will give me a chance at some local experience so I can eventually move on to a place like Harris Teeter, food lion, ODFL or other good local companies.

Well, I broke into tankers by getting a job as a yard jockey. After I proved I could maneuver around a crowded lot without customizing the paint job, they started letting me preload outbound trailers for road drivers, then I progressed into doing local delivery’s of inbound freight. One thing kinda led to another, next thing I knew I was a certified highway hobo, trashing around from coast to coast.

    Lmiller98 Thanks this.
