Just want to start out by saying thanks to all you on here; you've all shared great information on just about every question I've ask. So to keep the momentum going, I've got another one:
Long story short I got brake checked by some cool kid and ended up denting his bumper, I was able to stop short enough to do too much harm. However, company policy is to terminate due to the collision. Out looking for another driving job, because of bills. No one seems interested dude to the incident being last week.
A few months ago a four wheeler swung around and attempted to do a U turn and smashed into my driver side fuel tanks and promptly left the scene.
Police came for both instances and filled a report due to insurance claims. Has my employer listed both of these as preventable or is that just how the insurance companies see me as a liability? I didn't recieve a citation for either and no injuries were reported. Any idea oh I can found out what the case is and any luck on future jobs? Neither was HazMat, no cameras in the truck to state my case either.
MVR Questions when applying for jobs and no fault incidents?

You should be able to get a copy of the accident reports. I do know at least some states make you pay for it, they will not just push a button and hand you a copy. lol
Several years ago I had a lady pull out in front of me, the report listed it as no fault for my end, but all that came up when my insurance was needed renewing was I was listed as having an accident, not whose fault was on my driving record. I had to pay the state of Texas to give me a report before I could renew my insurance.trey0311 Thanks this. -
Maybe some 2nd chance companies will give you a chance:
Carolina Cargo - www.carolinacargo.com
Western Express
Where are you in North Carolina.
Saw an ad that has, "no more than 3 preventables in last 3 years", so, I'll look for that again.
Found it....
Here's one you qualify for > click here > Apply On Company Site

A small local company might not look at accidents as preventable/non-preventable. They are prolly your beat bet. Have copies of the accident reports before you apply.
As for being brake checked...you were following to close. That’s 100% on you, you’ll earn more respect by owning it. Even if you didn’t, at least talk like you learned from it.
Employers like honest straight up people. If you’re pushing blame off in the interview/app, what will you not take responsibility for once employed?trey0311 Thanks this. -
Wasn't on me. The guy got in my lane with no blinker about 5 feet in front of me and hit his breaks, but that's neither here nor there.
I'm man enough to take responsibility, but I'm not a push over to take it when it wasn't my fault. Thanks for the input, I've looked into the smaller ones pretty much exclusively at first bc I'm not looking to go back to where I started (another mega), but if I have to tough it out, it won't kill meLast edited: May 2, 2019

Our current insurance allows one 'at fault' accident and the broker automatically asks for the PD reports when the MVR shows 2 within the past three years. One not at fault report and they green light; both at fault and they decline.
Older accidents coupled with numerous current violations will also be denied...
Here in NJ there is [for a lot of moving violations] the 'McGreavy Option' named after a former Governor where you pay a large fine and even larger surcharge and plead guilty to Unsafe Driving; a no points violation. You can do this twice.
I had a guy apply with two older accidents [NJ doesn't erase them] along with two unsafe driving and one additional minor moving violation as 'too many things' for the decline...
The insurance doesn't like the words 'unsafe' and treats not possessing license and/or reg as a major problem...
Each company is different with their own 'foibles' and your mileage may vary but always get a copy of the PD report!trey0311 Thanks this.
