I have read a lot about these leaks and have one myself after replacing the manifold 6 months ago. Has anyone tried 1/2” ceramic rope seal and a hose clamp to hold it tight against the joint. The ceramic rope should handle heat up to about 3000*

    Engine or chassis number?

There are updated part numbers for the exhaust manifold. New manifolds have added a J-seal and the new ones usually don’t leak.

There’s a field fix for applying a high temp epoxy putty to the joint. Let me know if your interested and I will see what I can dig up.

Early on there was a rope seal and clamp, but it never worked.
