Once again .
Caterpillar E model, single turbo c15 and all Accert engines don't have a oil temp sensor on the factory cat engine harness.
If your engine does have a sensor in the pan to read oil temp then that's a oem installed unit that was installed at the factory, nothing to do with caterpillar. So it also has no communication with engine ECM only the dash Guage.

ECM just adds 10 ° to water temp that's all it does with oil Temp. Yes no sensor for Acert for sure.

No i have not. The truck only gets about 20,000 miles a year and have not had the pan popped off to check the bearings. Oil temp came down some with 180 degree thermostats and a new radiator. I keep having oil analysis done and they come back fine. I still have a oil pressure of 16-20 with oil at operating temp.
W903B Thanks this. -
Did you found the solution ??? -

I have similar problem oil psi changes with. RPM and Temp and load on engine
At idle 40 psi with cold oil stays same until 180° after 180 1200rpm 40psi and 1300 RPM 40psi 1500-1600rpm =60 psi
But C15 Acert mxs RUNS great for me with bully dog tunerLast edited: Feb 13, 2018
