I wasn't talking about the rears spinning different from one or another, I was talking about the drive shafts.

So does the rpm change within the power divider? does it change the rpm going into the front drive axle?

Ooh, after a few searches I know what a power divider is. Is that the power divider in the picture?

I'm just trying to learn something here. At least I'm willing to say "I don't know". The scary ones are the ones who act like they know more than they do.

After reading this my question would be, when both transmissions (or any transmission for that matter) are in OD shouldn't eveything spin slower not faster? Your rearends and tire/wheel size will determine drive saft speed. Everything that's ahead of the tail shaft of the brownie will be going slower in OD than it will than the drive shaft which should be the fastest part.

Why would it change? You seem convinced that the rear shaft turns faster than the front one, why? The only way that rear shaft can turn faster than the front one is if the rear differential has a shorter gear ratio (front 3.70 rear 4.10) and if that were the case it would destroy something.
A power divider splits the power evenly between the two drive axles. For example, if you've ever been off road in rough or uneven terrain and spun out, if you lock the power divider in it will supply power to both axles evenly, as long as one axle has traction at both wheel ends you will be able to move.
For the third time, yes, I believe that is what is bolted to your front differential, it has an air line going to it on the left side of the picture. There should be a switch in the cab that activates it.

I'm not sure who you were taking a shot at there, don't really care. But I do know this, I have seen people get an attitude like that here before, and the next time they ask a question they hear crickets, or worse get a bunch of smart ### replies.

    Thank You. Seriously Thank you.

I thought you weren't sure because of the wording.

I truly wasn't taking a shot at anyone except myself. If my frustration came across as anything else I apologize. I'm in way over my head here and it is frustrating.
