I watched that video of her starting up. Brings back the memory of when I first drove a truck. 72 transtar with a 318. I sat in my daddy's lap and parked at the 76 Auto/Truck stop in Buttonwillow, CA.

I don't know if it is in this thread or another I am watching that has a guy doing a frame off rebuild. Somebody commented to the effect of "will the be restoring Cascadias 40 years in the future?"
I don't believe that Cascadias will be the object of restoration like 60s and 70s trucks for several reasons. First, there were fewer trucks back then than now. In its 21 year run, a total of 10,000 352 and 282 Peterbilts were made. In one year, 1/2 that many Cascadias are sold. When they were new, Peterbilts and Kenworths were wanted. How many of the more than 1 dozen trucks made back then would someone get excited about? Although I admit that I would get excited to see an old Dodge cabover, but I'd get much more excited to see a Kenworth, Peterbilt or White Freightliner cabover. Second, they were rebuilding these trucks when they were 15 years old. Can anybody imagine a thread about a guy rebuilding a 1997 Century? A 1995 W900l or 379, flat top, yeah, we would be following that thread, but for the guy posting a thread about the Century, we'd be looking for the straight jacket!

I know a guy who has a 359 he wants to rebuild.. But it just keeps sitting at his buddies shop with a flat steer tire and the weeds growing around it.. Sad indeed and I'm not really a Pete fan

It seems you either have time or money but hardly ever both. So they sit in the weeds.!

I see you have it listed on ebay. I hope you can sell it to someone who wants to restore and you find that poj that's begging to be chopped.

So what's the story here @BIGZILLA? I was hoping to see some progress but now I see there's a link to an ad.

He thought the truck was too pure. He didn't want to do a chop job on a near 50 year old truck that needs only refreshing of mechanical components.

I'm disappointed. Was hoping to see a real cool project out of it.
