Hi there
I just got this truck a month ago I can't get more than 5mpg even empty. Everything seems to work my rpm is ok, anybody have any ideas?

What engine? I hear guys claiming 8 plus mpg.

Check easy stuff first, CAC for leaks, EGR valve working properly and turbo. Anything else, take it back to the dealer and have them hook a computer up to it to diagnose the problem.

Isnt this like the 3 rd story on here about new Freightliners getting horrible mpg?

If it is just a month old, it is not broke in yet. Are you speed limited, if not drive as you usually would on the highway.
And so true about the wind and hills. -
My 2017 is at 7.97MPG it was in the low 7s when new. DD13, DT12 transmission and sunper singles and 6x2 truck
