Well, have about an hour left of orientation before I take off on my own. Got my truck assignment and my stuff moved in. No Kenworth, but it is a 2025 with 10,000 miles, so no complaints there. They've improved the International interiors a slight bit from the 2021 I was in.

Started at a slightly higher pay rate than when I first started, so that was a pleasant surprise as a rehire.

They've swapped to Samsara from Omnitracs. I prefer Samsara, personally, so I'm happy about that.

Only weird change from last time is they have an ESmart speed system something or another. Basically, it actively governs the truck using GPS to 3mph over the speed limit, up to 72mph. Not the biggest fan of that, but will be nice to not he stuck at 68mph in the plains states. Will have to get a few days driving in to make a final opinion about it lol. I'm typically the 0-3 over type, so it works out for me, but might get irritating in some parts (cough cough, Cali). It should work out to be better overall with the extra few mph though.

They're still open fueling and routing. Mostly every single Love's, majority of Pilot's, and then a mix of random Sapp Bros, Kwik Trips, Speedways, etc. beyond that on the fuel stop list.

Still only outside facing cameras and the idle parameters are below 45 or above 70 or 75, I can't remember. Of course APU is encouraged, but is nice to have the option to idle with ease if the APU does go down. No tricks needed, just needs the right temp reading.

I loved delivering to Bakersfield. One of the best loads I got out of there was from Bakersfield to the Baltimore area.

Delivering to Dreyers so hoping I get a reload straight out of there. I think that's where I got the Cali to MD run a couple times

Tyson is trying something like that speed system. Our drivers say itll slow you down to school zone speed limit even if it isnt activated and a bunch of similar issues like that

Lonesome, Thrasher28 and JForce28 Thank this.

What about routing and toll roads? Can you use your own gos or do you have to use theirs?
