Quickly I will say that it seems that we always have an issue with our AC at this company. We're in Phoenix and it is a scorching 111 degrees and our AC is not working. We are at a truck stop getting it looked at and hopefully they can fix it cause we have a load of frozen chicken with 3 drops, the first being in the morning. The reefer is set at -10 but is only holding at -3 right now due to the excessive heat. Still trying to be positive but it's getting harder as the weeks are starting to speed by. We will not get paid til Tuesday since last Thursday was a holiday, although we had our trip pack turned in on time. This will mean that we have gone 2 weeks without getting paid and that pay was only the "$300 bonus". The 1 paycheck in the hole crap does not belong in trucking but oh well I have to deal with it for the time being. Til later guys

HOMETIME!!!
We're on a fresh chicken load from Camilla, GA going to Reidsville, NC. We dropped the truck and trailer off at the terminal early this morning around 3am since it doesn't deliver until Monday at noon. This will give us a couple of days to enjoy time away from trucking.
We almost lost this load though......Yesterday morning around 4am, we dropped our preloaded Ross load in Orlando, FL. Dispatch called me at 12:30pm about a load and told me to call the broker. I spoke to the broker and he informed me that I needed to be in Camilla, GA by 3pm to get loaded. At that position in Orlando, FL we were 303 miles away from Camilla, GA and I informed him of this. "Just get there". He exclaimed. We arrived at the shipper around 5:30pm and wouldn't you know that they are loading a Sexton trailer with our load!!! We did a lot of "talking" and finally got ourselves loaded.
Some good news though....On my next check, we came in second place for a $100 fuel bonus. Hopefully we'll have our trip pack turned in by Tuesday so that I can get that check then.
The very bad news.....My trainer has found another job and after we deliver to Reidsville, I will have to get a new partner -
Alright guys I'm back on the road.....Picked up a load of school supplies from Roadrunner in Charlotte, NC going to Portland, OR. I have a new partner and so far he seems ok but I haven't had a chance to experience his driving because I picked him up from the terminal after I picked up our load from Roadrunner. I enjoyed my time at home and actually got to enjoy real food again lol. Til later.....

Welcome back buddy. Be safe out there. Is your new codriver a newbie or does he have experience?
-
He has 2 years of experience....1 year with USA Trucking and 1 year here at Carolina Cargo. He obviously doesn't have as much experience as my trainer did but they are almost identical besides the experience level. I'm glad to have gotten two great teammates thus far!!!
Today's paycheck was $697Anyone looking to come to this company better have their ego down and their work ethic high. You will run miles here but the compensation is lacking a lot. You DO NOT come here to make great money but instead you come for the experience which is priceless. Daily I contemplate staying for 6 months like I originally planned or jumping to another company sooner than later. We'll see how that goes. Well I just drove 600+ miles from Chicago to somewhere in Nebraska lol....Yall be safe
Truckmovin Thanks this.
