My adventure with Carolina Cargo

Alright guys we are on this heavy load of potatoes from Washington going to Pompano Beach, FL. We left Washington Friday night and arrived here in Pompano Beach yesterday expecting to get unloaded.....WRONG....When we arrived at the receiver, we were informed that our appointment wasn't until Wednesday. Although dispatch and our broker had been pushing us to get here on Monday. URGH......We do have a reload in Leesburg, FL going to Walmart DC in Henderson, NC which delivers Thursday afternoon. So the plan is to be home for the weekend for hometime!!!

 

Absolutely....although our broker and dispatch informed us to be here yesterday. It's crazy that we all can't be on the same page

 

Made it back to Charlotte last night and enjoyed a New York Steak, potatoes, and asparagus dinner. I am home for hometime until Tuesday. This last trip had us sitting a lot and the company had their complaints about our idle time and fuel usage. I'm looking for some good news on Monday as I have found a small company in Illinois that may bring me on!!! I will update you guys on that next week....Enjoy your weekend and drive safely

 

I would advise you to do your due diligence to find a better company to work at. This company is specifically for 2nd chances like drivers with bad mvr, messed up dac, criminal record, etc. If all else fails I am sure that this company would give you a chance, but you'd better be absolutely sure that no other company will employ you.
