Up and running. $1200 later. I'm glad I have a bumper to bumper. Trucks running great now they replaced a doser and a few sensors then ran a regen. Delivering in Ohio in the am. A frustrating start to things here at Malone but between the Cedar Rapids shop my dm and some persistent with the dealership I landed at in Chicago I was only down for 2 1/2 days. Not bad I think considering the dealership originally said they wouldn't be able to get me in till today

Glad to see your up and going!!!
Truck is out of the shop and I am loaded headed to southern IN $700 on 362 miles. Delivers Monday but put me in a good freight area. Then KY to IL $1300 on 585 miles delivering Tuesday. Feels good to be back at it.88 Alpha, ratherBfishn, Sneakerfix and 1 other person Thank this. -
Delivered my second load $948 for 625 miles. Gotta go into our shop here in Alabama so they can fix my Qualcomm and check on a possible bad airbag. No loads planned yet not sure how long I'll be in the shop. Surprisingly I'm not upset about coming off paper logs, less of a headache with e logs

Anyone having luck securing or untarping and tarping without a blizzard or torrential downpour this week? I see washing a lot of clothes in the near future this weekend. What's everyone up to?

Play how many deadhead miles do you average?
playamwj12 Thanks this. -
A lot lately. I don't have a set formula really. I take out the 25% add the deadhead to the miles and divide. From there I see if it works for me. 250 mile deadhead isn't unusual for me. Most of the freight I haul into the North east is $3+ a mile to Truck freight but if the agent I work with up there can't get me out I bounce. In the end it's all about how much am I making on this load with the deadhead after all expenses, what area does it put me in? Where are my possibilities of a reload at?
Counting deadhead with the same expenses I have If you average only $1.47 a mile on 2500 miles you will take home a check of $625. I focus on pulling better paying freight, with a higher RPM than I do deadhead. Because I know exactly what it costs me to operate. But to answer your question I average between about 0-145 miles a load with 250-300 not being unusual. No need to deadhead far in the Midwest, northeast I can get freight but I have to bounce to it. One big science this game is. But I WILL bounce out of a dead area before I wait for freight 100% of the time with no hesitation.ratherBfishn Thanks this.
