Busy day today four stops and a pick up. Untarping 5 times tarping 4 times and chains and binders for my coils going to VA. I'm in PA on the turnpike for the night deliver tomorrow by 1400 and deadhead 50 miles going to either Delaware or MD not sure yet, both are over $3.35 a mile to truck so I don't mind either way. Ready for rest.

I get asked a lot by other Malone drivers how I can afford to run the toll roads. Its simple if a load pays $1000 to the truck I take $200 for fuel, pay $150 in maintenance and spend $125 in tolls that leaves $525 in profit and it comes off my deck in one day. If it takes $1100 a week to pay my expenses I am clearing 3-4 loads a week with pure profit. I try to profit the truck $400 a day or more after fuel, maintenance and tolls.
A lot of people lose sight of the big picture. This a business. A demanding one in so many ways.
I may be clearing $2000 a week usually setting 25% away for uncle Sam, 125 for personal maintenance, $50 weekly for equipment updating and repair. Don't lose sight of your responsibilities and fall into the all this money is mine mindset. In the end if I fail doing what I'm doing I want to know that I done everything I could to give me the best chance of success.Lonesome, Philly1Finest and 88 Alpha Thank this. -

Wooo this thread is up to 41 pages!!! I started reading it a few montha ago. But never got thru it all. Now im gonna skip forward, because it now is relevant to me. Have a buddy who wants me to come to sti (another crst company) i have seen his statements and no what he is making $$ there. My question is this. What is your average settlement statement per week. After fuel and expenses (except truck payment if its thru or connected with them) i tried hut cant keep up cause your posting individual loads.

Just seen this sorry..
Lately my average to the house is 1650-2000 after all expenses. It varies here honestly. Some complain about not making money at all, some complain about making $500 every week. You have to take your business by the horns, you can do well here!!Lonesome, drvrtech77 and 88 Alpha Thank this.
