You got a local job Swimmin'? Congrats! Right outta school, even. Did WEPac help out with that? Or did CFL like the fact that you graduated from WePac?

A lot of the local ag hauling companies(fruits, nuts, veggies, ect...) will take students right out of school.

    A little update on me...

I took a drive test yesterday for a small company in Madera. Started out a little rough(been a while since I was behind the wheel) but smoothed right out and didn't have any issues. Looks like I'll be hauling grapes starting Aug 15th. It's a long time to wait but he thinks that he'll have some work for us before then so I won't be waiting that long before my first paycheck. He says that I should be making an average of about $1100 a week, TAKE HOME! Run 6 days a week and get Sunday off. I'm looking forward to driving again.

No doubt! I know I'm going to be running my ### off but it will pay off.

Yeah I hear that. I'm hoping he wasn't just blowing smoke. If I bring home $800-$900 a week I'll be cool with that.

Hey Jet, this maybe a little late but I was wondering if you're already set up with a hotspot a/or smart phone. I, too, have the Verizon 4G Hotspot. It'll go through the battery pretty quick so of course a car charger is necessary. And it's amazing how fast you can burn thru 5 gigs of data.

I got a Droid Razr with 450 min/4gigs data. I don't even use half of it, but all I use it for is email and fabebook type stuff. 1 hd video will eat up your data plan pronto. W/S employees get a 20% discount from Verizon. Take them your pay stub.

3 years later, How's the life of a trucker Punisher? Im exactly where you were. Working with alliance worknet waiting for the supervisor's ok, and hoping to attend Western Pacific. Just wondering if you had any advice?

Goin ok. I've avoided otr by taking a few seasonal trucking jobs. Still might end up otr yet tho, we'll see how the next few weeks go.

The best advice I can give is to just stick it out. The whole "alliance process" can be a long drawn out pain in the arse process but if you stick it out it should pay off in the end. Stay on top of your case manager and if you don't feel like you're getting anywhere let someone know, the squeeky wheel gets the grease, ya know?
