I've traveled extensively through Asia... China, HK, Macau, Turkey, Japan, S. Korea, Taiwan, Philippines, Burma, Thailand, Laos, Vietnam, Cambodia, Malaysia, and Singapore and have never once seen someone openly crap in the streets. Where might I ask that you witnessed this grotesque act?

 

Primarily in China, and predominantly Shanghai and Beijing. If you've never witnessed it somewhere in China, then either you've never been, or were blindfolded the entire time. It is extremely common, especially in rural areas where there are no public toilets. The same is true for a number of the other countries you mentioned, and many countries around the world, as I have seen it first-hand.

 

Hell, the homeless are crapping in the streets of L.A., fueling worries of a hepatitis outbreak. 50,000 bums crapping twice a day is a chitload of crap. If I’m correct, I think they still practice street crapping in Arkansas as a tradition.
