My buddy wants to get his CDL without going to school

    He is better off getting a job working for someone else. Self employment isn't exactly a "ding" against him, but it could be a hassle to document to the perspective employers satisfaction... It sounds like he is going to have enough explaining to do. -- And actually, he should get two jobs. A job to pay his bills and a second income to save to pay for school.

    A lot more job prospects will open up if he has the money to pay for himself to go to a respectable school; and working all those hours will show himself, and perspective employer he can actually work the big hours most drivers work. I have seen more then one person go through the whole exercise of getting a CDL, finding a job, and THEN finding out they couldn't or wouldn't work the big hours.

    Gotta ask, what is a "CDL'S" never heard of it. Is it anything like a CDL, Commercial Drivers Licence? What does the licence possess? What is the 's for? Why do people say CDLS or CDL'S. Tell a company that you are applying at that you got your CDL'S, they are going to think that you have no idea what you are talking about if you don't even know what kind of liscence you have,
