I don't understand why trucks even have air horns. Some companies order trucks without them.

well, just get a lawyer to see what they could do and start driving like you are driving a semi, always pay attention, scan for road hazards, use your signals, and obey all signs

I never did that, the air horn is not a toy. For emergency only. I know they learned a valuable lesson, it would have been better if they didn't hit anything, tho. Today, there's zero tolerance for infractions, especially ones that are their fault. Like I say, their career isn't over, plenty of places will hire them, it just may not be what they are hoping for. Just starting off on the wrong foot, is all.
If in the Badger, not sure S. Wis. is the place to be. Go to the Fox Valley, tons of trucking up that way.

Omg ... this thread gave me a headache.

A few thoughts I have to get out my head before it explodes.

    To the op.
First you have a class A or a class B commercial drivers license, you can't have BOTH.

SECOND your worry is justified but you need to stop being well a worry wart or a baby about this (you said you don't mind harsh comments), you got into an accident, your fault and the tickets are the least of your worries. The accident isn't a show stopper by any means but it means you are not a low risk driver.

THIRD get a traffic lawyer to get the tickets reduced if at all possible. The less burden on your record, the better.

FINALLY as the rev said, don't lie, it will turn up on your MVR and if you don't disclose it, you won't get a call back on an app.

Trust me. I will be from now on. I've done all that regular well... until the time of the accident where I my attention just... lapsed and paid the price for it, but I'll be doubling my efforts.
