No, I've just heard that it pays less than 20 CPM and it's well known as the last resort carrier. Haven't really looked into them much, I'm going off rumors, lol.

Sometimes other drivers that don't have those obstacles to overcome, tell those drivers they're better off flipping burgers in fast food joints. That's just not true, burger flippers don't make $60K in 2 or 3 years; they're still making minimum wage.SESteve83, Walkbyfaith88, YoungGuns and 13 others Thank this. -
Forget the negative comments. Do what you have to do. .10cpm or 2.00pm do the best job you can and get that experience in. Experience is the holy grail in this industry. It will open doors. Good luck.

Orientation went smooth, I was supposed to go out today but my trainer won't be back until tomorrow. They put me back in the Motel 6 until tomorrow. Everyone else in orientation that made it through went out today, the Blessing in this is that I get to go out with a guy that has been driving for them for over 15 years named Delburt, and I get to drive a brand new 2015 Peterbilt.
I met the owner Jim Crowder during orientation and he does seem very nice, he works everyday at CC and driving around on his farming equipment caring for his cotton fields that surround the truck yard. He had a prayer devotional before we started orientation and he can pray well.
Even though the base pay is .10 CPM they do have bonuses in place to boost it up to .21 CPM most of the drivers I spoke with said they make between $550-$660 a week, and when to bonuses kick in they make more.
Some drivers had bad attitudes and some didn't, some were their because they messed up at other companies, and some had a criminal background, felonies and some misdemeanors. The dispatchers and driver manager seem to have a lot of attitudes to deal with, from what I witnessed they handle it well. From all the stories I've heard I haven't witnessed the office personnel be rude.
I'll keep you posted on how things are going as the days continue. -
I haven't been keeping up on your postings thruout the forum. What made you choose CC as a first company?Base pay 10cpm,is that during training or is training a set salary?Since your tainer has all this exp with CC hopefully he teaches you everything and with patience.Good luck with CC.We all have to start somewhere so ignore all the negativity and bad attitudes.Don't stoop to their level.

Just got on the road last Friday for the first time I was very excited because I have never been on the road in an 18 wheeler before. We left the yard in South Carolina and went to get the truck washed, then went on our way to North Carolina to pick up a load of chicken to take to Azusa California.
We got to Azusa Sunday around 2am and had to wait until the next morning to get unloaded. Once we got unloaded dispatch was going home so, we now have to wait in Cali for another load. I really enjoyed driving the 2015 Peterbilt it runs great no problems at all.
So far, so good, I'll keep updating this thread to let people know who might be interested in Carlina Cargo, I will post honestly the good and bad. I'm posting some pictures of the truck I drove for CC, I got to drive during the day, and once my trainer was confident in my driving I was able to do night driving while he slept. So far I've driven a little over 1,300 miles. My trainer woke up and said " I'm impressed you drove over 625 miles your very first time driving, most trainees barely drive 500 there first time because they stop too much. I only stopped to do 2 inspections and use the restroom at the same time, and I had to stop once more for a 30 break so the computer wouldn't force me to take one at a bad time. I was tired and needed a break!LOL
