I plan to remain a rookie until I stop working if that's what it means.

So if a guy did something wrong, mistakes happen in this industry believe me. And he offers to pay you out of his own pocket, gives you the cash you would need to replace it and then some for time spend down. You'd still call it in? That's just not right.

^I'm a company driver so I'm not doing any kind of repairs to the equipment. We call the shop and get t checks for that. Call it taking advantage or not right or w/e, if he got out and looked my hood wouldn't be on the ground and I wouldn't be taking his lunch money...

Unless your original point was to take the money and lie when you call it in as he was asking, I call it having no integrity, not being a man of your word. If you take the mans money to not report it, and then report him anyway, that's about as low as one can get.

Those that would take the cash and still call it in, like another poster said, to me THEY HAVE no scruples. Sooner or later, that KARMA dude will come around. The old saying, What goes around comes around" is what would most certainly happen to those that take the money and turncoat.

That particular poster, being of only what his bio says of 2 years experience, thinks he know's the world, when in fact, he knows nothing at all on what and how to deal with some things on the road. It's the guys that talk the talk, but never walk the walk in this industry, that will sicken even the most jaded of experienced drivers.
