    we can all point fingers on who to blame, But the true people to blame is the top management of arrow. They have there accountant and more then likely. They saw this would happen sometime ago, But tried to keep it hush.

    There is enough blame to go around for the shape this economy is in. It's been heading this direction for the last 40+ yrs. Remember, Ike told us to beware!

    Maybe they did not get their stimulas package check from the Government??? :biggrin_2559:

    You can not sit here and tell me a company does not know they are sinking fast into red and maybe working on a potential buyout from another company and a brutal uprising of the drivers would scare off any financial deal of any kind.

    If you have a 60 days window of a notice, then run the trucks 30 days while try and get financial aid, after that, have your drivers make thier last delivery and run them back to thier home terminal and then then tell them to clean out thier trucks. All the drivers are home, no ticked off clients waiting for their loads and all the trucks are rounded up and not pilivaged or vandalized.

    I think thier should be a law that states any company who operates in a manner that has its employees traveling away from home to conduct job operations, That company should be required to have a seperate account as a return home fund to support a more respectful shutdown operation.:biggrin_25511:

    BTW, How many loads are stranded out there and who's paying for that loss. Insurance companies??? Who really pays for it in the end, other companies and O/O trying to get insurance!!:biggrin_25510:

    I am sorry for the drivers dealing with all this right before Christmas. I do hope this is a wake up call though. Drivers need to learn to start managing their money. I know, I know, paychecks bounced,
    #1 only ONE of my checks would have bounced;
    #2 Start saving money, War Chest, Emergency Fund, whatever you want to call it. There is no excuse not to save something. $25.00 a week adds up to $1,300.00 a year. (What do you think I was using when I offered help in the way of local transportation, a meal, or a motel? My rat hole money!)
    #3 Dont let your fuel tanks run so close to empty that you get stuck...Not a good habit in any situation...
    I hear of drivers that are now homeless and broke and hungry, because they lived in their trucks. What the hell are you spending all your money on while you are living rent and utility free? Learn to manage, or at least save some money. I would never put myself in a situation where I did not have a way to the house, Which, by the way the finance companies were offering in the way of 200 bucks or a bus ticket. Money in savings could have put enough fuel in the truck to get home with all your stuff. Drop that trailer, bobtail home...should be able to get 1200 to 1500 miles bobtailing....probably cheaper than airfare.
    I know this probably comes across as quite negative, sorry for this, I do feel sorry for you guys and gals, but come on, we are all grown up now, we are supposed to be responsible big boys and big girls now. Take your share of the blame for not being prepared in this B.S. economy for something like this to happen. From what I have read online, as well as in the media, the writing was on the wall. You just chose not to see it.
    Good luck to you all, finding your way out of this, and I hope everybody learns something here......

    All I'll say is this, that's allready been said.The company saw this coming, IF they did'nt, then they (management ) have no business running a Trucking company!

    OH wait they don't allready know to run a business.Most Trucking company's have accountant's, they saw this coming.

    And who ALLWAY'S get's screwed THE DRIVER. Arrow Trucking management the Top people, will walk away with money in their pocket.

    You're right. I've often wondered what people think when they are faced with no income and nothing set aside. It is hard to save, but if you don't look out for yourself, no one else will. I wish all who are dealing with this situation with Arrow the best of luck.
