Makes me wonder also where all these jobs are coming from all of a sudden when all we have been hearing is how scarce they are.

Dont know where to begin addressing all of the inaccuracies, fallacies, and urban legends in this post, not enough room here to post it, and this certainly is not the correct thread, so I'll defer.

:biggrin_2556: guess it depends on how far from the house you are ,vs the cost of fuel vs the cost of a bus ticket, then agaian to ship all your chains and binders and tarps, cost of shipping could clean you out,,,,its all in your choices, and if your ale to sell your tarps chains and binders to cover your exspenss of getting home,,,,over all it just plain sucks what they have done to these drivers that were makeing them money!!!!! just gos to show you we are all just a number in the sceem of things,,,,,just ask mr obama:biggrin_25514:

First it is not the Government job to bail business out because they fail. Your post really does not have anything to do with Arrow. If you would do some research you would see if that health care is passed that the dems want you will be paying more for health care,
Obama is not the anti-Bush. He is Bush on steroids.
Bush’s policies could be summarized in one sentence: Spend like a drunken sailor and don’t pay for it. Obama’s policies can be summarized by the same sentence, except that Obama goes beyond drunk to alcohol poisoning.
I am sure if there was wrong doing with Arrow executives it will come out, I heard through the grapevine when the the son took over, he was just spending, spending spending, kind of like the Government but without the printing press.

That equipment should belong to the co. I only know of one ate up outfit (prime that makes flatbed company drivers pay for securing equipment and tarps) As far as I know arrow drivers did not have to supply that equipment.

The equipment DOES belong to Arrow. But, the drivers were directed to bring the trucks to the folks who own the trucks-Freightliner, Kenworth, and International. No provisions were made to have straps, binders, chains, etc. to return them to Arrow.

I worked for Arrow up until the middle of October of this year. I went on a pay website to look up Arrow's financial situation, saw that they were finished, and said adios amigos! While their checks were still good.

The writing was on the wall then. And, the accountants, lawyers, and upper echelon management certainly were aware of the situation! If I could find this info out, they most certainly knew about what was imminent.

This had nothing to do with the economy or any president. The demise of Arrow was related to mis-management, greed, corruption, and stupidity. This isn't directed to you, no tarps4me, as I'm very sure you know what's going on, you seem well-informed.

Yeah, I knew that. I was replying to dino who is not listed as a trucker. The way he worded that it sounded like the driver had to sell their "own" equipment to get home. I agree upper management knew what was going on. I know you said you thought I knew what I was talking about. Even a lot of truckers (box pullers) who have never pulled flat do not know who owns that actual equipment. Then again there is prime who makes the co driver pay for "primes" equipment.

The bad thing is Arrow "suspended" operations until further notice! That effectively makes it almost impossible to "get" unemployment! BUT still do the filing as I posted back at the beginning of this mess!

Now as to how long a "suspension of operations" can last I believe is left up to either the court or the state. I wonder if every ex employee of Arrow were to call the state employment offices and their senators and yes even that Hope and Change guy in DC, if that can get a fire lit under them to either do a 'going out of business" or speed up the filings of bankruptcy or restructuring under chapters 7, 11 or whatever. But this BS suspension" is a holding tatic to keep from him loosing the money he's squirreled away!

As I see it if Arrow wasn't making truck payments, child support payments and bouncing pay checks it makes you wonder IF they were evenpaying into the unemployment account?
