my comments on Arrow Trucking's recent actions

It sucks what Arrow did to their drivers but I can't believe a adult would travel hundreds or thousands of miles away from home without having a B plan if something went wrong and they had to pay their own way back.

I was a contractor for a company that went bankrupt and we had no warning as well. Came to work one day and the place was locked up with security blocking access to are rigs. They where not told that the trucks all belonged to contractors and not the defunked company.

A warning might be a bounced payroll check or not getting paid on my pay date. If that happened to me I would definitely be getting the dust brushed of my resume.

Hope this is a wake up call to any driver that thinks their company won't strand them if they go belly up. Always have a way to get home on your own or don't leave the house.

 

Another Thing Hubby and I think is that the rest of the trucking industry should have opened their trucks up. Screw the rider pass crap. If you feel safe with a certain driver with you then by all means take them with you so they can get home!

 

I agree, but I can understand some concerns of the companies. Mainly insurance. What if there is a accident and the rider is killed. Will that open up a lawsuit? Or what if the rider is not who they claim to be, possibly have obtained the ID of a arrow driver and said person is either going to rob and kill driver or may even be a terrorist with intentions of misusing a hazmat load.

 

The regulations the Teamster bought politicians and agency officials put on us aren't going to help us any . Obama has no problem shafting steel workers letting Canada export steel or shafting USPS workers by cutting their benefits by over $9 billion . So way cater to Teamsters ? Is Barry skeered of mobsters ?

 

I can understand that, But if you are helping them gather belongings from their Arrow truck...........

Well at least you blamed Reagan instead of Bush for once. LOL But you still got it wrong. Without deregulation we would of been in even worse shape then we are A. and much of the work on deregulation was done before Reagan stepped off the plane in DC.
