Having been in the operations aspect of the business so long, I know all too well that upper management knew well in advance what they was doing. There is right and wrong and the upper managment has no excuse to mistreat its employees that way. However, they are not alone in their disrespectful and dishonest actions, several Companys treat their employees no better than serfs. So, when I hear about such things don't fault me for not shedding a tear when these management types suffer the same fate they have inflicted upon others. I've got nothing against a company doing well and the owners profiting from the business. However, when their primary solution to reap profits comes at the expensive of their own employees. It's far better that they be hauled off to jail and given a 99 year and a day life sentence. I have no mercy for those crooks for they are the scum of the earth and should be treated as such.

The DAC thing should not be an issue. Since DAC removes all entry's from company's that are gone. Once they are out of business all there posts on DAC are gone.
    If it was me stuck.
I would sell binders, chains, tarps etc. Nothing on the actual truck.
Go to a dealer and turn the truck in, but insist on a ride to the bus stop, which most I would think would bring you without asking.

On the lean....I don't think you can. Arrow was not buying the trucks, just leasing them. So if it is not owned by arrow you cannot do it.

I could agree with you more on no more Greyhound, I worked for May Truck I used to go pickup tractor /trailers for them and they used Greyhound, while I was actually paid the same mileage money on the bus as when I was driving the bus at best sucks. But I took a small craftsman toolbox, a duffle bag, and a pilots chart case (with my cb mounted in it. But no one helps you some large bus stations have carts, but most do not.

just sad on what arrow did to there drivers. For me, I would just sell what I could and get home. I bet the owner is in his nice warm house right now. I hope all the drivers get home safely.

I wonder if you could do this:
Drive the truck home and find a place to lock it up. When the repo company comes looking for it advise them you have assisted in the recovery and would like to release it to them providing your recovery and storage fees can be satisfied. This is what the towing companies do all the time isn't it? Just a vague thought.

Exactly how you do it...except get to the courthouse and put a mechanics lein on it....perfectly legal, absolutely by the legal book...and yes you can..since Arrow has a lease contract with the actual owner of the rig, it will get satisfied thrugh the courts and the eventual bankruptcy.

    Been there, done it!

Heh, some of this stuff reminds me.

A while back I was in louisiana. I parked at a very small independant truck stop for a while with a relatively big parking lot. I noticed an old beat up pete sitting out back. Instantly dollar signs flashed in my eyes, i was thinking, hey, i can be an o/o! its a POS!

While I was inside i asked the guy at the counter, who turned out to be the owner of the truckstop. He told me that some owner op bought it a few years ago, and went bankrupt and just left it there and went home. He said that he still owed money on it, and the truckstop owner said that he called the bank and tried to get them to take it and give him a storage fee for it. Well, they never came for it. And now people have stolen EVERYTHING from it. And it aint moving until i get my storage fee! heh.

So after that, I figured since its abandoned and stripped, maybe i'll have a look inside or even take a souvenir (this is in the BOONIES). There's no way that truck could have been brand new as the truckstop owner said, the tires are totally bald. And the tires and rims are the only thing left on it! Transmission is missing, jake brake and valve cover is missing, driveshafts missing, fuel tanks missing, most of the dash missing, and most of whats not missing is pretty much destroyed by losers. Body is just fine, but..

But it sure wasn't very old looking. I didn't even bother looking for the VIN tag since the doors had been open for several years...
