My company wants me to request two inspections at weigh stations

In a former company they were fined because drivers used PC without a valid Pretrip in the last 24 hrs.. aka during a two day layover going to restaurants then back to where they were parked. company was told because it was a commercial vehicle it needed a inspection within last 24 hrs if it was to be driven.

 

Unique to Canadian rules; paper logs made it easier to be "legal"... as I did from time-to-time.

 

Nothing in the regulations state you must return to the point where you started your PC use. That’s a company policy. You can PC home and be dispatched from there. Same with a restaurant.
