I would think there is a company that could run you through the house for home time.

Is the terminal in Riverside or do you live in Riverside?

I have a lot of friends that work for Knight in the reefer division and they all love it and hit 3,000 miles a week or more.

    all are very happy.

Yes but that is why God gave me this 5 acre lot for a good price. There are other options, like behind grocery stores, check with the manager, but there closer solutions, CRST has Drop yards. I certainly would not drive 8 hours. The company no doubt has trucks rolling near his house but CRST wont do that either. When I worked for IWX If I wanted more than a week Id have to leave it in the yard. Bt they would give me a ride home and back with a driver going that way.

I drive an suv, gas prices are dropping, so the cost each way is dropping though. And yes my suv is a guzzler. I dont have another car toto use right now either.

The problem I have with my 8 hour drive each way... coming in to the terminal, im usually on the road fo10-14 hours already. Then I have to drive an additional 8 hours already tired. Same for the return drive. Came back from home time
left the house at 1230 am, got to the grapevine. Hit heavy traffis the rest of the way in. Arrived at the yard. Did my pretrip, looked for an empty trailer. No luck. Then had to drive 12 hours on the clock under heavy pressure. I ended up navigating to the wrong route. Entering the wrong trailer number and causing all kinds of havoc. Barely had time to stop for 1 30 minute break. No coffee, no food for the 24 hour period. It was a recipe for diaaster. I finaly could not go any further and had my do driver switch places.

Its like this almost every run. Interstate has a yard 1 hour from my home. And they have givwn me the best answers thus far.

Interstate is a good company. I worked there a bit and had no problems. Park my truck at the house and trailer at the truck stop. Nice equipment, in cab scanners for paperwork, fridge and built in 1800 watt shore power inverters. I think they have on guard and elogs now that's what the industry is coming too. I would certainly give them a shout. I heard most new drivers are getting the new kws they have.
