My coolant reservoir on my X-15 Cummins ,any time I start the truck after 10-15mins it’s says low on coolant amber light comes on .I changed the sensor coolant is always full but still keep saying low on coolant.Any thoughts .check the wiring and everything is good condition .
Been a common problem for awhile.. You got to replace the whole coolant tank because the sensor communicates with a magnet(?) Or some device inside the tank that gets stuck and the sensor reads low... I had my sensor unplugged for the last 2 years agter throwing 3 tanks at it and probably 6 or more sensors.. It will illuminate a check engine light when unplugged but will get rid of that constant god awful low coolant alarm... The aftermarket coolant tanks are like $400 if ya wanna keep changing it out... Ive never got more then like 6 months out of a tank before the sensor fails on it
Run the electric line there is a module change it, as long as it doesn't shut down the truck no big deal
