If I had known posting my experience would cause so much drama I would not have even bothered. I swear some of you men are like high school girls lol and I said SOME not all, before someone decides to get all defensive and crazy rofl!

sorry to upset you, but you are now misrepresenting your op. the last part included "some people have it bad but they make it that way" and then a later response went into more of a rant about how if you had a bad experience then its your fault. thats the part i take issue with. the way you discount everyone elses bad experiences by saying that yours has been positive, so everyone else must just be whining about stuff that was under their control. yours has been positive SO FAR, but like i said itll mean more coming from someone whos gotten many weeks worth of miles under their belt. not because you have no right to an opinion, but because with zero or only a few weeks worth of driving WITH THIS COMPANY, you have no real experience to give as to the overall capability of crst to give a fair deal to other drivers. your school experience is valid, and if youd left it there all i woulda said is i hope it stays good for you. but again, without at least several months experience driving for them, you have no room to be dismissing others' bad experiences as "self-inflicted".

You guys do realize this is a smooth CRST commercial right? "She" is as legit as those 5 star Amazon product reviews that are 10 glowing paragraphs. This is called "guerrilla marketing."

Hi Cyn, happy to hear you are back w/your dh and happily traveling again. Your assesment of the training center is right on. I left with strep and whooping cough and still haven't recovered my voice yet. It is a strain to talk which has caused a small issue w/ FM. He'll get over it when I finally get my voice back and can explain to him that the stress in my voice is simply trying to talk and not the other issues that would cause stress for any one (ie. no miles, no pay,etc.). Can't say any of this is my fault per se. I have a good driver trainer and, when we are moving, so far, all is well.
Since I can't give a proper assessment of the company or the road conditions I'll say this - The FL dealership in Dallas is very nice and only needs beds to make the long wait completely comfortable. They have showers and comfortable chairs in the TV room. The FL Dealership in Reading, Pa is smaller and not quite as comfortable, but the people are nice. The Petro repair shop in NJ(can't remember the town off the top of my head) was also quite nice and the TS had almost everything one could need when laid over for several days. If you haven't figured it out I have spent more time in repair shops than on the road. Maybe once the truck is completely rebuilt I can decide if I like the company or not.
    Happy traveling, your coughing roomie.

Your with CRST and not CRST Malone? Correct? Looked into Malone and am a bit sketchy on them. $185 per week in trail rental is a little over the top. Pay rates are pretty good, but I'll have to agree with Pokerhound. Heard a lot of bad reviews. I'd like to find a current O/O with them and talk about their experience with them so far and see the load boards. Perhaps all the bad reviews are laziness. No one ever said truckers aren't lazy. Good luck on your L/P Cyn. Hope it works well for you.

well said. im looking at malone as well and have been trudging through the neg reviews for months. in spite of all the crap, im still thinking of leasing on to them. work hard, study their system, be respectful and befriend agents, and be PROACTIVE is basically what ive come away with. it makes a lot of sense that some guys just want to be told where to load and where to go, but these systems arent set up that way. and arent guys a lot more likely to get on here and whine and complain if they fail than guys that are successful posting positive things? maybe im being blind and shortsighted

and cyn1123, dont worry about it and dont let it fluster you. some people have no class and nothing better to do than to troll around on forums and pick fights and nitpick. but i too am curious, are you crst or crst malone? are you in the lease purchase program or company truck or your own truck?

I live in Pittsburgh and Malone has a terminal on the far side of town. The guys who pull out of there aren't hurting for money. The drive nice, lite up KWs and Petes. If they are such a bad company, somebody figured out how to make it work for them.
