My dad could become a trucker

my best guess is that when in a IT job, whether it be in a cubical or office, they have a somewhat "structured" work day. almost like a drone.....

just my thoughts.

 

If that is the case you both have about as a misconception of the IT world as we have the trucking world. I did my job where ever a system was broke, whenever it was broke (usually by the users) and it was always my fault it was broke and needed to be fixed yesterday.. Now I will admit I was a Systems Engineer not a programmer. I had an office someplace. I think...

Think about this: Drug Dealers and IT Professionals both call their clients "Users" In both cases they (the users) are addicted and want more for less.

I am here to eliminate my misconceptions of Trucking.. Perhaps I am are breed when it comes to IT people turning drivers.

 

Regardless of what you either TRUCKING , IT or Mowing Lawns , Someone wants it NOW , they do not ask for it until tomorrow instead of yesterday , cares less about what you did yesterday because tomorrow they likely will be doing something else.

 

That was my point flatbed..

 

I know , just pointed out that others see it that way as well , regardless of what we do or did for employment.
