You seem to like trucking the same way I like it. I cannot wait to hit the road. I spend hours everyday researching potential companies, and of course this website. I bet you will make q good driver for a company one day. Have you found a place to go to school yet, or are you still in the research step of the process?
My DUI is 4 years, 3 months old. Any companies hire with training with the DUI?

I hate these posts because everyone wants to talk and not answer the question. Typical truck drivers. Try TransAm. Leavitt's trucking, out of Springfield OR. Legend Transport out of Yubba City CA -2 years dui . Werner. Blackwell Consolidated out of Central Point OR. Prime Trucking. Many LTL companies , like Oak Harbor Freightlines, Conway, and Reddaway.

Save your money and go to school on your own. Spend the 5k now and make way more than that back by not working for a mega.

Prime is 4 years. Keep in mind that if you lost your license, they go by the reinstatement date.

There is potential to be fired for borrowing money out on the road. Companies are not bankers. They just as soon fire you for taking too many comchecks resulting in a negative payroll for weeks. (Don't think they wont. It will be 0.00, and remaining debt to pay. They get it first, Taxes and other stuff not paid. And eventually you will pay that too before climbing out of debt...)
Wash dishes in fast food three months that will net you at least a thousand dollars to go trucking without borrowing. That is after truck school and CDL success (Make sure it's a manual shifting truck not a auto one when you go test.)
If you get student loans for CDL School Pay them back first for your wages. 5000 dollars paid back in 6 to 12 months investment against 30 to 50 more years and potentially 2 million or more dollars in gross earnings before your retirement. No excuse not to pay Govt Back early.
If you sign a indentured servitude promissory note to get training from a company at a school, if you were dismissed or fired, you will be lawfully subject to collections and garnishment etc for that promissary note. There is no defense against it. -
