So I woke up to snow EVERYWHERE not so good, it was comeing down hard to and it was about an hour before the sun came up. So I headed over to deliver this load....The roads where completely white and the snow was comeing down so hard I could barly see. Then right before the place is this BIG bridge I was going about 30mph and made it up just fine but for some reason the drives where spining on the way Down????:biggrin_2556:

But anyway I got in there backed in, after haveing to find someone that smokes so I could barrow there lighter to defrost my lock lol. Took them about an hour to unload then I headed back here to the TS. When I came to this Bridge this time I was MT and with the Super singles I wasn't to excited lol I was going all of about 15mph with the axles locked and was tooling up it just fine till I almost got to the top when then drives decided to slide and start to spin the tractor around so I just let out of the fuel a little and it straightend right out and barely made it to the top and then I put it in 3rd and crawled down the other side lol. Is all residental neighborhood with cars lineing the road I didnt want to come down the bridge to fast and slide into something. But after that It was pretty easy back to the TS although I did have to lock the axles at every light and stop sign because these wunderfull slicks I have on here like to spin and not move the truck.

While I was getting unloaded this other driver came in and we were talking he was an O/O he was one of those guys that just keeps talking lol But he was the one that let me barrow his lighter to thaw out my lock so I just let him ramble on about his life story :biggrin_25518:. Anyhoo so since I was leaveing he went to go sit in his truck, and when I came out he walked around to talk to me and feel flat on his ##* lol Then he comes over and says "have you ever driven in snow before?" I say "only a little bit in a truck" and he says "have you ever pulled away from a dock at this angle in the snow?" so I say "nope" and he says "what gear you going to try to pull away in?" so I say "2nd or 3rd" and he says "ok good, I have had a few guys slide into my truck trying to pull away from a dock"

anyway my QC just beeped so I gotta go! looks like WA.......

You sure that O/O wasn't asking you this because he wasn't sure on what to do? Never know!!! Anyway, great post again. Are all W/S trucks super singles or are you just an unlucky sole who has to drive with them? I hear they are great in the summer time when the pavement is dry. Other than that, they sound like a pain in the ##*.

BNR has the slicks as well, I don't think they would be very good in the snow, I don't think I would like them. Take Care TD24

You know if we end up at Con-Way we'll have them! :biggrin_25525:

Then again if we end up at W&S we could have them as well. :biggrin_25523:
