So when I got up today Walstib was parked 4 trucks away from me lol But he was sleeping so I just quitely snuck out of the TS. I left at 8am EST and I got a call from him later this moring and found out he was only 27miles behind me! So I ran until I stopped for lunch and while I was on break he cought up with me....(he only left a little bit after I did). Anyway so we got to run for 5 hours and 15 minutes together all the way from OR to CA, through all of those retarted mountains and snow, Luckily there was no snow on the ground it was just comeing down hard, then it was sunny, then is was snowing hard and then it was sunny back and forth all day long.

Anyway so Im now at the TA in Redding, CA.

So I had posted that I didnt have the hours to complete this load and I was right, between the mountians and the low speed limits and my limited hours it wasn't going to happen, SO I called dispatch and we figured out how to Git R' Done! I'm going to bring this load to the Modesto, CA terminal tomorrow morning and then another driver is going to grab it and haul butt down to deliver it.

Does anyone know if you can drive on THE DAY your stuff exspires???? my stuff is now in SFS but im only going to make it to modesto! and It exspires on fri I can easiy get there on friday....

anyway long day now I need sleep so I can get this load to the next driver to make sure it gets there on time...

It was great having someone to 'convoy' with as it's usually only me and the voices in my head, thanx for the company AT!!!!!!!!

And he's right about the weather, fickle, fickle fickle but thankfully no chaining needed and that made for a nice day driving thru some beautiful scenery!

Anything is legal if you don't get caught, then play dumb.

It's normally good until midnight of the expiration date buddy. So yes, you're good for that day. :biggrin_25525:

So today was just a bad day.......but it did have a good ending!

I don't feel like typeing everything so I'll just do the good part, I'm 280miles north of LA, this load delivers at 8am tomorrow morning in LA. Then I'm going over to the SFS terminal to get my permits and IFTA sticker, then there will be load lined up for me for the weekend....I hope I stay far away from the snow!

    how bout Florida??? :biggrin_25525:

I think there has to be more then two slow trucks to be a convoy!:biggrin_2559:

I think what we had going was a rolling roadblock....
