Ok so I'm 280 miles from the receiver, should I give myself 6.5 or 7 hours to get there?? Firm apt I cant be late but I dont want to waste to much of my 14.....then again I do have to drive 55mph! Stupid CA! and over some more mountains I think.....then LA traffic. I have to be there by 8am.......

if you plan to get there around 7 you should be able to miss most of the traffic. especially since its a holiday. and 55, dont let what they say ruin your life like with all those resets. i did like 900 miles in that stupid state the last 2 days, if i had actually been doing 55 i would probably still be in there!!

I set my cruise at 61 or 62 in Cali. No issues yet.

Shoot if I am doing 65 down the freeway, in my car, I am doing good if I pass a truck or two. And if I stay right at 65 I will probably get passed by a few trucks... None of the truckers accept WalMart do 55, or I should say MOST dont.

My boyfriends old co-driver got pulled over doing like 58 or 57 in CA and got a ticket. I'd be careful :/

Hey AT, got a question for ya bud. As I understand it you had to take a refresher course before w/s would consider you. I think I read in another post that you were from Charlotte. I am currently living in Cornelius, NC. That's at exit 28 of I-77. Just curious if you wouldn't mind telling me where you were able to get that refresher course and a ball park figure on how much I would have to shell out. Oh, and how long it would take. I need one too. Last school was 2 years ago and haven't driven since. Don't mean to pry and if you don't want to answer I understand but I am have trouble finding one because my old school closed down. Thanks.

    Hi AT
I hope you got unloaded this AM okay and the rest of today goes better!
What is it about Cali that they are such Richards about the speed compared to other states, say like NY? I mean you can't do 80 but.....or does Cali help support it's bad budget on the back of truck drivers??

    Ok and no more hints????????????

In CAli they are Richards about everything! I think they should put some of that frustration into picking up the trash out there! The whole state looks like a landfill! I have been to Mexico City and it was actually cleaner! You know when you see all those fires on the news, that's garbage burning, not trees! All the flooding too! Gods way of trying to clean that place up!
