Hey A/T you can brown that meat on the exhaust manifold, but you'll have to keep closewatch on the strays in the T/S

I don't think you'll be disappointed. Let us know how you do. -
Good afternoon everyone...I start W/S orientation on the 24th and am looking forward to the experience. I have a question to throw out to you all. Are there many west coast runs? I live near the Modesto terminal and wonder if there are regular runs open out here. I haven't read any posts by any west coasters, so I'm curious. Anyway, drive safe and don't eat the yellow snow!
American-Trucker Thanks this. -

So my first stop, you know the one that wont let me deviler early ever? well I've been here before so I new it would take a good hour to get out, well 2.25 hours after I got there I left, BUT that was after I hand unloaded ALL 65 pieces, and it wasnt like a normal big order with a few coutches/chairs/ottomans and a few big heavy peices NOPE! this wall all BIG heavy stuff, the customer was PISSED about how they load 600lbs boxes all the way to the ceiling lol
then we we're short a peice of glass for a desk so after checking everything we unloaded 6 times and checked the rest of the trailer TWICE I finnally called conover and found out it had been broken we it was unloaded in conover and it was in the system that it had been broken someone just forgot to let the customer and myself know...
Then I got to spend 1 hour driveing around DOWTOWN St. Paul MN trying to figure out how to LEGALLY get on the customers street (there were 1 way streets and no turn signs EVERYWHERE! So I finnaly figure it out and they were doing construction on the road so instead of 4 lanes it was just the one. And they have this cute little sunken dock right off the street where you back into under the building.....well I couldnt fit a Straight truck in there let alone my truck haha So I call and say "Where do you want me to unload I'm sitting blocking the road, I have 3 blocks of straight cars beeping at me and theres NO WAY this truck can fit in there" she says "ya I know hold on I'll transfer you" meanwhile I'm parked in the middle of the ONLY lane with my 4 ways on, then this guy comes on and I tell him whats up and he says "You need to get a smaller truck..." so I said "WHAT?!". He says "we arnt alowed to unload in the street so you need a smaller truck or we cant take the load"....
SOOO I take a deep breath and say "well you we have two options either you have 4 guys come out here and unload your 4 chairs or I'm going to have to leave I can't get you a smaller truck......"
So 2 minutes later 2 Wells Fargo Assoicats come running out in there nice fancy suits to unload my dirty trailer in the snow!Apparently they really wanted there new fancy chairs for there desks!
Then I get to this customer who has 18 HUGE HEAVY peices of furnture...and he proceeds to drop a 500lb (I #### you not) crate on my F***in Foot! And as im on the ground he says "are you ok?" but I can clearly see he's not even looking at me he's looking at the whatever it was that he just dropped!!!!!!!!!!
Then after that I still had to unload the rest of his crap!
Then I knocked off 3 stops for tomorrow because at the time I thought it was broken so I figured I should do as much as I can before it swells up and hurts to much to push in the clutch...... So now I only have 2 stops left for tomorrow morning instead of the 5 im supposed to have I did a total of 10 today instead of the 7 I was supposed to do...
I tell you what that was they worst few hours ever! Pushing in the clutch every time I had to stop and trying to hold it in while backing into a tight dock!
It still REALLY hurts in a few places but since its not swollen I dont think its broken or if it is not bad enough that a doctor can do anything about it anyway....
Then I had to deleiver 2 wardrobes to a Rehab facility apparently one of there patiance wanted 2 BROYHILL wardrobes instead of the stuff they had there
The guy who answers the phone says just pull around back. So I get out and look before I pull in and I justSo I went up the street and tunrned around and backed into the place and had 2 guys unload me at the front door.
Every single stop I had today was crazy, usually these furniture runs push me just about to my limit of how much BS I can take but today this pushed me WAYYYYY beyond that, when that guy dropped his crap on my foot I wanted to beat his ### with my furniture dolly and just go home......I was SO PISSED after the day I had had already.
And to top it off, it snowed .5 inches last night.....WHY the #### is there STILL 6inches of snow on every road and highway in this state?????????
I got stuck like 100 times today, I had to use my diff lock 100000 times. All the way from the TS this morning to my first drop at 6am the highway was so covered in snow we were all just makeing up where we thought the lanes where you couldnt see anything.
And guess what the plow guys where doing?????
They were driving around spreading salt with there plows UP!!!!!!!!!! WTF
PLOW then SALT seriously how hard is that concept
But even with all the crap and the pain I still got 10 of 12 stops off today somehow and got a Parking spot at another TA (yuck!) lol
American Truckerthe flying scotsman, The Challenger, yukon2001 and 4 others Thank this. -
been there and done that AT. stuff like you describe is why i went flatbed...
American-Trucker Thanks this.
