Turn your qualcomm up and pull it close to the sleeper, that is what I always did if sleeping and waiting for a load.

Look on the left side of the keyboard, there is a speaker icon with up and down buttons. There is also a contrast level buttons and a light button as well in the same areas....but if your alarm is set for 7am eastern, that's 5am Missoula time. Depending on where you are, there is no dispatch that early. The only dispatchers working that early are the one for Conover, and the one that handles the eastern US area.
Good luck gettng a great long mileage load soon....hope to meet you out there someday

AT, 'scuse me for sneaking in here off topic. Just want to say "Hey" to Warp. I followed him early on when he was just getting on with WS. Did (maybe still doing?) an awesome job with his thread! I tried to get on with WS but didn't live close enough to their nearest terminal to my home. Might try them on once I have more experience and they don't care where I live.

Hey Oldnew...how's it going? Update for me, I'm doing a regular run now, Socal to halfway to Phoenix, meet CAGE, switch trailers, and head home. Do that 5 days a week, and work local 1 day a week. Things are going well!

Appreciate the kudos, Oldnew. I suppose I should have the thread moved here to the WS area so other newbies can find it easily....I also tried to keep up with your posts, but you are such a prolific poster, I can't keep up with them all!! LOL I do, however, peek in now and again to see what you're up to...

Lol. I am sure that truck has had a couple new drivers in it since me. I do remember the steering being a little loose but not too bad.

Just dropped off my first Trip Envelope at the WS terminal in SLC. I also forgot to post last night I went into the truck stop to take a shower $10 (ouch) and there showers were really nice and clean but ICE COLD WATER! cold or not I was taking a shower lol. Still sitting waiting on a load...... there three Watkins Shepard Trucks at this Truck stop and at least 8 across the street at the terminal. So I'm guessing I might be here a while.
