They didn't send you an info packet? I got an email with several attachments with info to bring with you, a tool list, schools they hire out of in GA and a bunch of other stuff and I haven't even done schooling yet. :)

    Sorry I guess I should've quoted Kenlee's post. :)

I called Sandy and just got the list. Most of the stuff I have, I will buy a few more things when I get the green light and my truck like CAGE did. I have an Atlas, my GPS and my laptop. I should be good for the 2 weeks.

    American-Trucker and wulfman75 Thank this.

Ok so I almost forget to post about something. now it may not seem like a big deal to those of you that are reading this but to me it was a big deal:

So since I have been out here 3 people have done the thing with there arm to get me to blow the horn lol The first 2 were 35+ yr old guys (ya a little weird I know)

BUT today for the first time I had a little boy do it on the highway, I've never seen 2 kids Boy and Girl so excited lol

Now to why is this a big deal: For those of you that have read my blog on here, you know that I've wanted to be a truck driver since I was 7, and when I was little getting truck drivers to blow there horn was the coolest thing in the world, and today I got to do that for a little kid!:biggrin_255:

Ken, I can jump in here and try to answer these questions, The sheets and a blanket are provided, If you are a warm weather person like me an additional blanket would go a long ways, I was there in September so I was fine, They also have space heaters in each of the rooms, I bring my own pillow anywhere I go but I am anal about my pillows... There is a Wal Mart up in town on Reserve all the way up in town, It will be a regular stop just ask anyone where it is, You may have to go to another terminal to get in your assigned truck, 5 of us left Missula in a rental(suburban) Thanks Dick, We went to SLC dropped one guy off and then to Phoenix where I got out and then they returned the rental to LAX and the other three got their trucks in SFS. I hope this helps, If I can be of any assistance please get with me or PM me and I will be happy to send you my phone number. Thanks. TD24

I do the same thing, I loved it as a child. My father was a truck driver, he died when I was young. I have blown the air horn I think a total of 5 times so far. I skipped time in California on my way to CO a really good looking lady pulled her arm I ignored then she flashed me, I ignored then she flipped me the bird. I heard in CA it is against law to use the air horn, had it been a young child I may have done it but I thought the actions of the young lady were inappropriately.

i never got the chance because i couldnt figure out where the air horn was on the volvo was for 2 weeks until one day i was doing paperwork on the steering wheel and hit it. and since then no ones ever done the thing, and i havnt passed any golf courses. and its not even really fun in the volvo...so lame

like my 2nd or 3rd trip i wandered into a parade route in wyoming somehow and there were like a million kids doing it and i was like yeah sorry guys i cant find it. very disappointing.
