So I went to get my truck at 4am this morning because I was bored at home and wanted to get moving....lol. So I got a 16 stop load 1 stop in NJ and 15 in NY FML haha. But at $20/stop 16 stops + the miles sounds good to me, Plus my god son lives in NY so I'll be able to see him for a little bit.

I started this morning 11/07/10 and the NJ drop is tomorrow at the NJ terminal so anytime after 8am..............then I have 7 stops on Tuesday and 8 on wensday.....sounds stupid to me so I'm going to call the first few stops tomorrow while the NJ terminal is unloading there 100 pieces and see and HOPE that they want there stuff early if not there s Pilot 5 miles from the first NY stop so If they don't want it early I will be there when they open the doors haha. The way I figure it "assuming" the first 4 stops in NY want there stuff a day early I can get those all done tomorrow and still have 3 hours of drive time and 2.25 hours left on my 14 this is "assuming worst case scenario, meaning the 2hr drive to the terminal in the morning take 2.5 and it takes them 1.5 hours to unload me, and 30 minutes at each of my stops............my first 4 NY stops have 4 pieces ,1 pieces ,2 pieces,3 pieces so if it take 30 minutes to do each of those I'm seriously doing something wrong lol.

My goal here is to make it less like my last and only LTL furniture run, where I barely had anytime and I had to bump back a customer 1 day. I want to have hours left on Wednesday so that I can get another run started. This whole run should be 1000 miles in 4 days, so If I can do it in 3.5 I can get more miles in this week.

And I just so happened to end up at a loves for the night where I just so happen to have bought a month of WiFi lol

Bummer........all on the east side of the state!!!!!:biggrin_25513:

Let me know if you ever get to western NY cuz that's where Rochester is! Closest you are is about an hour or hour and half away (Vestal I think is closest-
Binghamton is about 2 hours away)

So I was able to get 4 of my 16 stops off on monday instead of just the one I had schedualed, Then today (tuesday) I got 8 of them off today instead of the 7 I had schedualed. And now I only have 4 left for tomorrow instead of the 8 I was suposed to have, and should be empty by noon with plenty of hours left. D*** I'm good lol

This has been quite the trip, First on my way to NY it starts to rain so Naturally the 4 wheelers turn into idiots and one decided to play chicken with a Big Truck and lost and caused a 15 mile parking lot that I got to enjoy lol Then while sitting there the rain started to turn into hail

(Funny Story) I have the CB on while I was sitting there and I say "D*** the rains turning into Hail" then some guy says "that not hail its rain" then some other guy says "since when does rain bounce off your truck Dumb ##*" so I said "He most be from the south, he thinks it hard rain" then we all had a good laugh at the first guys exspense haha.

Anyhoo so after that mess I get going and as the day goes on it starts to turn into snow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now I lived in MA for 12 years and VT for 6 so I can drive in the snow and ICE and even raced SCCA and SCCV Rallycross and Ice Racing, but snow and ICE in a Big truck is a little differant haha But no big problems as I was just north of where the weather was really bad on I-88 where I was, was just starting to get snow when I shut down for the night.

THEN I pull into the Pilot and theres 5 spots left in the back all blind side.....I find 2 side by side that are open so I chose that one lol. I'm ushally pretty good at blind sideing (when my power mirrors decide to work that is) but of course since I'm blocking the Entire T/S it decides NOT to work so I'm completely lost haha after 5 min of making myself look like an Idiot haha this guy comes on the radio "STOP, and pull straight up" so I do then he says "turn the wheel to the left" "ALL the way, now hold there and come on back" then he says "right.............Keep it ALL the way right" and he talked me into the spot and not just in, but I was perfectly centered and straight! he was good lol He was in the truck directly across from me haha

Then I go in to get food and on my way back out I here some one say "hey!, can you help me for a second" it was this Big (as in around) driver hanging out of his truck he was trying to screw in his new CB antenna but he was to big to balance on the step to do it lol so I helped the poor guy out and put it on for him lol interesting end to my night lol

Then today the snow was gone and knocked out 8 stops and am 15 min from my next one. I'm really starting to like this Pilot? Flying J Merger because they had to get rid of some of the Pilots in order to make the merger happen and I keep going to Pilots for the night but when I get there they turn out to Be loves which is great because I have my Wifi all paid for here lol

OH ya So if your ever on Albany and you see a bridge that says 12' 2", don't beleive it, I got to it today and stopped and grabbed my map.........while I was trying to find a way around it a construction guy walks over and says "are you looking at the bridge?" I say "yep" he says " IT LIES lol" I'm like "Are you sure?" he says " Yea, but I'll walk to under if you want..." so I said "yea that would be great" so I start under it and I made it threw with a foot to spare Stupid NY haha. Then later the same thing happens I'm stopped AGAIN in the Middle of the road AGAIN!!!!!!! looking at a 12' 2" bridge FML so I call the customer and they say yea just go threw it, its bigger then it says there rated lower for the snow. So again I crawl under it and had about a foot between me and the over pass.... I'm really starting to hate NY first the Snow then these "low" bridges, just when I thought NJ was bad I discover NY lol.:biggrin_2559:

So I was just about to write another post and BAM! my truck rocked back and forth hard........Someones about to get B**** Slapped! and I got up and got out and sure enough Ahmed just backed into my truck!!!!

So I'm thinking cool this guy just replaced this Old truck for W/S, well then I see the damage and its a strach about 3 inches long and 1 1/2 inches high on my drivers side fender, scratched it right down into the fiberglass......But instead of him replacing a truck he just made my truck look worse:biggrin_25516:.

So I had to call safty and take pictures and write down all his info and whatever for a scratch....Hopefully W/S can at least get some money for the 30 min I just stood outside freezing haha

He said "I drive 5 year, this first time this happen, I Tired I just came from California"

    :biggrin_2559:

he had like 10 feet from the truck on his sight side he should have known he was WAYYYY to far over, he was set up to back into my spot haha

I'll post a picture of the "damage" here: because I know Tim and Matt will read this hehe:biggrin_255:
