Hello. I think you sent me a message recently. I am looking for a good company, yeah, like everyone else. I'll be coming out of a refresher trucking course 6 weeks from now. I have been off the road for 9 years and was an OTR driver before for a period of 3 years.

Late in April, I'm off to orientation with ????? company. I was really hoping to find a company that was originally based in the southwest or the northwest. This company sounds pretty good. I understand there are three terminals in Washington State--I used to live out there. Loved it. :biggrin_255:

    Thanks for the feedback.

I have been working for W/S for almost 9 months now and have ran both OTR and short line. My home terminal is Vancouver. Have been real happy with W/S. I'm PM'ing my phone # to you if you would like to discuss W/S in greater detail.

    American-Trucker Thanks this.

They dont hire out of FL, but some of the trucks have APU's. They dont have an idle policy so you can idle when you need to. All the trucks have Bunk heaters so you dont have to idle in the winter. Trucks are governed at 65-70 depending on the truck you get.

Hey there so Im looking at Watkins Shepard as a training/starting company. Ill be turning 21 in 6 months. They are hiring out of their Modesto, CA terminal which is a bit of a drive from where I live but a commute once every 5 weeks wont kill me. Does anybody have any experiences with their training program and/or the Modesto terminal?

what do you wanna know? not sure what training your talking about (their school shut down a few years ago) or if your talking about the 10 Day Orientation, scroll back to the begining of my thread and you can read about each of my 10 days. I drove 136,xxx Miles and grossed $46,000 first 365 days with Watkins Shepard, deffinatly a good company to work for.

    AT,
Not trying to be critical, just inquiring. I thought I read a thread on Werner where you said that you could make "$40,000 more your first year at WS then Werner". Am I missing something? Again, just inquiring as I am graduating next Wednesday and want to make a decent choice for a starter company.
    Sincerely.
