My Experiance with Watkins Shepard!

Lets see I got to the pilot across the street from Iowa 80, thats where I am now, trying to motivate myself to go out into the 20 degree/windy weather to get a shower here with my shower credit before I drive across the street (100 Feet) to Iowa 80 for the rest of my 34 hour reset lol


Oh I forgot to post that when I got to the Indy terminal I saw truck number 1776 at the dock, so I was like SWEET (Because there USED to be this guy matt that had that truck and he also makes YouTube videos of trucking stuff) so I thought he was still in it so I was like cool I'll finnally get to meet him.....well yep so this other guy NOT HIM gets out lol




AND while I was in conover, when I went back to the terminal after the shop, I pull in and I see this truck and with the driver sittin in it so I wave like always and he waves back and I'm like hmmm that guy looks really familiar lol Well it turns out it was the guy I had met at the SLC, UT terminal where I dropped off my first load lol he usually only runs out west, he's wasnt to happy to be that far east haha. But he's a pretty cool guy though. Full of funny stories...




Ummm trying to think if theres anything I have forgotten to post......


Well I'll be here for 34 more hours or so, it'll come to me, I do have some pics I'm going to upload and post too, so keep an eye on this thread!

So thursday night on my way to conover my cb started to flash like the power was cutting in and out......and since I wired it myself I know it was done right (Crimped/soderd/taped) I was like WTF and just shut it off because I didn't want the on/off power to fry it. So then yesterday when I went to leave conover NOTHING wouldn't even turn on, I was going to unplug the power cord real quick and use my backup power cord that goes directly to the Cig light (to see if that fixed it) but i forgot.
Turns out the inline fues holder broke and since its spring loaded when the tabs broke off it shot apart thus leaving me without power... So now I need to go buy another power cord and RE-Wire it, or use the Cig lighter one but that would look stupid with the wire hanging down so I'll spring for the new wire lol I'm just happy it wasn't the CB I would have been pissed I have like $400 invested in it lol

so on thursday I was on my way to Conover and going down I-75 and I hear on the CB that there was just an accident going north bound about a 1/4 mile ahead of me ( I was going south )

So there saying that this woman isn't stopping she just keeps going and I was like what?



So as I go around the corner I see this little blue car thats all smashed up driving down the road at about 40mph, by this woman 20's or 30's, she didnt look confused or drunk or scared or anything, she just looked like she was cruiseing down the hiway . Yet her whole front end is wrecked pieces hanging off and dragging on the ground and theres steem pouring out from under the hood and smoke comeing out of the exhaust lol But she just keeps on going like nothing had happend........

Now as I get further around the corner I see that theres 2 more smashed cars on the shoulder.......


And the Hiway is at a complete stop....WHY because there where trucks (professional drivers) stopped blocking all the lanes....WHY because they had just seen a big wreck and then the woman that caused it just drive away....so they stopped all traffic so that she couldnt hurt anyone else.....They were useing there CB's to let everyone ahead of her what she and her car looked like and what had just happend..........

So what happend was: this woman somehow spun out in the middle of the highway and slammed into 2 other cars, the other 2 cars were able to limp over to the shoulder, BUT this woman regains control of her car and just drives off


I was listening to it on the radio (CB) for the next hour, I don't know if the cops ever caught her or not. I sure hope so!

What kind of person dose that? lol

Then a little while later I hear theres an accident on my side of 75....so I slow down and as I come around the corner I see that a PENSKI driver had slammed into the back of a central Transport Flatbed trailer! Idiot! He hit it SO hard that he bent the whole back end of the trailer UP! and everything from the windshield foward on his truck was gone!

Thats why you don't tailgate! He just threw his driving career right out the window: Following to closely/tailgateing/Rear-ending another vehical/Tow-away accident all at once

I'm trying to take as many as possible, there are so many things I wish I could take pics of lol. Once I get this stupid truck tour video done, I'll have my HD Video Camera on the tripod so I'll be able to use the frames as pics or just hit the picture button on the romote as i drive by somthing . As well as the HD Video that will soon (hopfully) be streaming to my YT channel....
