So had the 3rd great day in a row!

I drove 677 miles today, made it as far as Gillette, WY where I'm doing a 34 reset. Then I'll head to the Helena, MT terminal tuesday morning.

Day went pretty smooth no problems at all cold as H**l though! I was driving for the first 2.5 hours and I had the heat blasting in the cab and the bunk and I was still freezing and my feet where numb and then it finally hit me :biggrin_25521:..............DUH it's 5 degrees outside and I'm do 65mph so I look down and of corse just like I thought the water temp was at 110 degrees it should be at least at 150! Oops! lol So I pulled over poped the hood and put a piece of cardboard in there and Wala 160 degrees:biggrin_25525:! I was shooting for 180-200 but I only had a small piece of cardboard but it was enough to give me enough heat to get 11 hours down the road.

And while driving all cold I came up with a GREAT idea! I could be a boreing and go to Freightliner and get a boreing old winter front for my truck OR I could make on in the shape of AT so that in the winter everyone that sees the front of my truck will know its me!:biggrin_255:

Then just when I was almost done for the day I got to meet AXE at the Port of Entry in WY! I didn't have but a minute to talk to him, I only had a 45 min left on my 11 hours and was 45 min from the TS so I had to get going.

Then I get here and OMG this is like heaven for doing a 34 hour reset compared to where I usually get stucking doing one....Im perfectly centered 20 feet behind the building in a pull through spot so not only did I not have to back in but the WiFi is really fast for a TS. AND theres like 10 places to eat within a half mile and a Walmart Super Center like .3 miles away.

So I'm going to do some TS laundry for the first time! I've been able to do it at home since I started but I'm really low on clean clothes so I figure i'll waste a few bucks and see what the J laundry stuffs like lol

OH and its like 10 degrees out which really sucks because I'm only 7.5 hours from the terminal that can fix my bunk heater so I'm going to pretty much have to Idel non stop for 34 hours:biggrin_25511:. I tried to shut it off about 10 min ago and its already FREEZING again.....oh well can't say I didnt try!

I gotta ask AT, will you ever forget WALL DRUG? :biggrin_2559: It is worth a stop someday. Just curious, have you started any kind of Souvineer collection yet?

It's been great reading your story thus far :) I look forward to keeping up with it from now forward!

I am glad you got a good spot for doing you're 34. Sucks about your bunk heater but atleast you'll have one once they get it working! Our truck doesn't have one :(

TS laundry isn't too bad if your pretty close to the TS or just don't have much to do. Only bad thing is it can get pretty pricey. If your terminals have laundry machines it might be a bit cheaper there. Our terminals have laundry ranging from $0.50 to $1.50 per cycle whereas I've seen from $1.50 to $3.00 per cycle at TS's.

Anyway, take care and stay warm!

Nice meeting you AT! If I'd have known you were stopping in Gillette I would have gone there instead of on to Sheridan.

Missoula has a washer and dryer as does La Mirada. And they don't cost anything.
