Central having a union?? I ust finished laughing, if they had one it would be COMPLETELY different!!
I went at it with a guy from there earlier. Going to a pickup I had old dominion behind me and I saw central FLYING up on the lane next to me. Its a four lane road with two going towards the left, and two going straight so I was in the right lane for the left turn. Basically central came flying up byt the road that will go straight then cuts me off and I having to slam the brakes, and with OD almost hitting me. Then on the way up theres a turn that is hard to make with a 40 footer, he makes the right turn without signaling almost going head on with a car in the opposite lane, and taking out a sign and mirror on a car on that street. He did all that because he wanted to be the first one in so he can get the easy dock, he even had a grin on his face when he saw me and OD pull up. Before we went inside I ripped him a new one for almost causing me to crash into him. I believe someone called the cops on him as when I left I saw him pulled over down the street... Its not worth anyones or your life just because you want the easy dock...
@Potter is your truck the 7.3?

crazy you guys at central can just decline runs and walk off the dock when you guys feel like it. What kind of operation do you guys have if you guys cant run the freight when needed

I wish I could tell my boss find someone else for a straight truck(All ARE POS) run when someone calls out. I hate driving them, I am happy with my tractor and my pup trailer

Central WAS union up until 15 years ago, the guy that trained me was origonaly hired as a scab during the union strike.
