Better get your facts together there pal, I quit CWF because I couldnt afford making 150 dollars a week with 10 hours a week of work. I am on my SECOND LTL job at YRC.which I like but am only leaving because I am getting LAYED OFF and cant afford to not be able to work. How is going from CWF to YRC downgrading? And if you were offered a BETTER job, better pay, same union and I still get my pension Im sure your would take it too... FYI its not another LTL job either

Well holy union do what you gotta do. It just seems weird I wouldn't drive long haul only if I got hired by the ppl in Alaska I wanna be this I wanna be that do you wanna be a trucker or not? Just my opinion

So you were offered to work at yrc before you WALKED OFF A CWF dock last time o checked you said yoi wete working at a restaurant and blah blah before you even got on with yrc in my town cwf to to yrc is a down grade buddy

Yea I do, Its just very very hard where I am located as all places are over a hour away. The only companies in my county are CWF and YRC. The new job I applied to is a construction business which my dads friend works in and is able to get me in where I will be driving their trucks, different kinds though whatever they need me for the day, all steady work. Now for what ever reason I cannot get in I plan on returning to school and learning a trade. All the other trucking companies are over a hour away from me and I really dont feel like relocating. I cannot afford to get layed off now, it was confirmed I am getting layed off by the fall hence why im looking for other jobs or school. The wait time for someone at YRC to retire is not for another 3 years and I dont feel like waiting that long to return. And with the union its harder for someone to get fired... we have a guy who hit the same bride 3 times and still works there.

Ive read all that. In all honesty why didnt you try to do the same? Ive read what Jakebrake said it doesnt make sense leaving one ltl for the other doesnt make sense. I see you are pursuing other ventures in your trucking career and I wish you nothing but good luck ach

the point of working is surviving and paying bills and being able to buy the things you need. Some LTL's really will starve you till you quit, and then you cannot claim unemployment. It's a ruthless job behind all that big hourly pay. I only transferred because I bumped someone off a bid who didn't want to run linehaul anymore.
